PP-RAI 2022 - 3rd Polish Conference on Artificial Intelligence

In the past three days, we had the pleasure of participating PP-RAI 2022 conference in Gdynia, attracting over 200 attendees. Its agenda covered keynote lectures, panel discussions, networking and poster sessions - the main focus of the event was artificial intelligence in Poland.

During the conference we prepared and discussed two scientific posters:

• “Thermo Presence: The Low-resolution Thermal Image Dataset and Occupancy Detection Using Edge Devices” given by Mateusz Piechocki and Przemysław Aszkowski,
• “CountingSim: Synthetic Way to Generate a Dataset for the UAV-view Crowd Counting Task” presented by Dominik Pieczyński and Bartosz Ptak.

The conference background

The goals of the event are related to sharing, discussing and exchanging knowledge between researchers from universities and businesses. How the organizers say:

Discussion on the new forms of organization and cooperation of research teams, reference to the growth of interest in AI and pointing the strategic directions of research and applications, including interdisciplinary areas.

It was an extensive opportunity to meet experienced scientists and grab a massive amount of knowledge!
