How the sky looks? Solar irradiance data collection in progress!
To harness the power of the sun effectively, precise data is essential. That’s why we’ve recently mounted our solar irradiance measurement devices at the roof of Centre for Mechatronics, Biomechanics and Nanoengineering of the Poznan University of Technology. It is strategic locations because it is a quality testing station, it facilitates rapid modifications and a photovoltaic installation is planned for the selected site in the near future. In addition to Poznań site, measurements were collected also in Modena (Italy) and Karpicko.
More details on the location of the equipment and its service are given in the table below:
Site | Country | Latitude | Longitude | Data collection | Resolution |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Modena | Italy | 44.63111 N | 10.94528 E | 7-12/06/2024 | 1 minute |
Karpicko | Poland | 52.12944 N | 16.12306 E | from 11/08/2024 | 1 minute |
Poznań | Poland | 52.40306 N | 16.95389 E | from 18/10/2024 | 1 minute |
How the sky looks?
On this occasion it is worth taking a look at the sky preview and irradiance measurements for selected stations in different for the different months and seasons:
Modena
Karpicko
Poznań
Stay tuned for updates as we analyze this data to drive innovation in solar energy!
